• Cataract Surgery: We have performed tens of thousands of cataract surgeries over 30 years. We offer state-of-the-art techniques and utilize the LenSx laser which is laser-assisted surgery. Our offering of intraocular lens implants includes premium lenses such as multifocal and Toric lenses. We also recommend monovision as an excellent option when appropriate, which is COVERED by insurance companies. This often allows the ability to be free of glasses for reading and distance.

• Refractive (LASIK and PRK) and Corneal Surgery: We are also specialized in refractive and corneal surgery and are proud to offer our patients the latest technology in the convenience of our office. These technologies include the precision-engineered WaveLight® Allegretto Wave® and Eye-Q Laser technology to optimize laser vision correction.

• Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery: Dr. Macdonald is fellowship-trained in Oculoplastic and Reconstructive surgery to repair injuries and defects due to trauma, cancers, birth defects and aging deformities such as ptosis, entropion, ectropion, and lacrimal duct obstructions. He is also an experienced cosmetic surgeon and has years of experience performing blepharoplasty.

• Optical Services: Monmouth Optical Shop is run by our 30-plus year experienced optician, Lori Acquaviva. We are a certified Maui Jim dealer in both sunglasses and Maui Opthalmic frames. Our shop offers popular brands such as Marc Jacobs, Carolina Hererra , Burberry, Kate Spade, Tory Burch, Michael Kors, Penguin, Modo, Easy Clip and Ray Ban to name a few. We are exclusive to Essilor products such as Varilux and Crizal coating (comes with a 2 year scratch warranty!) and we are a certified transition dealer. • Contact Lenses: In addition to correcting vision with LASIK or PRK we are highly skilled at fitting our patients with a variety of contact lenses including multifocal, monovision, astigmatic and keratoconus. Dr. Mani is certified in the use of Synergy Contact Lens for corneal diseases, including Keratoconus.

• Amnio Disc: We are specialized in the use of EMBYRONIC AMNIO DISC THERAPY for corneal diseases.

• Corneal Diseases and Dry Eyes: We are experienced in treating dry eyes and corneal disease with many modalities, including Amniotic Membrane Disc Therapy, punctual plugs, Cyclosporin an various lubricants.

• Other Diseases We Treat: We treat glaucoma, pediatric eye disease, macular degeneration and offer preventive eye care for all ages.

We are on staff at the Shrewsbury Surgery Center, which is conveniently located across the street from our office, Riverview Medical Center, one of the finest hospitals in New Jersey and Center for Ambulatory and Minimally Invasive Surgery (CAMIS) in Eatontown. Our practice takes all our own calls for after-hour emergencies as well as coverage call for the hospital. Right to Sight and Health - a nonprofit organization established in 2007 by Dr. Macdonald and his colleagues that provides eye-care to underserved people in the developing world. Dr. Macdonald has organized over 30 missions to underserved countries such as Ghana, Senegal, Rwanda, Tanzania, Cameroon, Nicaragua, and the Philippines.
